How do you become close friends with someone from a group setting?

I joined a youth group a few weeks ago and I really like the kids but I'm not sure how to get into deeper, one on one friendships with some of them (especially since most are girls, but don't make that think I'm interested in dating... I'm not).

Just be yourself. Be friendly and try to spark-up conversations with them individually. Talk about the immediate things going on. Ask questions, but not too many (that's creepy).


You'll get some friends sooner than later. Sounds like this is new and you are fresh blood to these wolves (so to speak).


Girls *might* be standoffish at first, but if you are friendly and honest, they will warm up to you. Just be confident and sincere. You'll do fine.
