How do i DE- friend someone?

i met this girl. she's very nice. she's from out of town and i decided to make friends with her cause she's alone. ever since then she's been saying im her first friend and she's happy for that.

as i got to know her, i realized she drank too much, smoked too much. she's a smart girl but her ambitions are different than mine.

i cannot deal with it and dont want to hang out with her anymore.

what should i do? i feel bad.How do i DE- friend someone?
Honestly, tell her this. Write her a letter if that's easier. I have been defriended a few times, and it hurts. What hurt the most though is that my friends didn't tell me that they didn't want to be friends with me anymore. Recently, for example, my best friend of 10 years randomly stopped talking to me, giving me no explanation. This is the easy route- to just ignore her calls and hope she'll get the message- but this is also the wrong route. If my friend had just told me, I wouldn't have had to agonize over the whole thing for months. It would have hurt a bit at first, but at least it would have been a clean cut.

I also had to defriend a friend of mine recently. She was a nice person, but her personality wasn't very compatable with mine, and she had some issues that were very draining for me to deal with. I just talked to her one day and told her why I couldn't be friends with her anymore. To say the least, she wasn't happy, but it was the way it had to be done. I know where you're coming from. It's not right to stay friends with someone soley out of mercy, especially if the friendship is stressing you out. Please tell her the truth. It's incredibly hard, but it's the right thing to do.How do i DE- friend someone?
Tell her that you are no longer her freind plain out, and then move out of your house, hide your trail, and move to a different city. Be sure to disguise yourself when you are at it.
